II. Why should I join Urbanthang.com?

We will offer standard content (news from the Houston Chronicle, Accuweather local forecasts, Horoscopes by Teno) as well as original programming via articles from members and Urbanthang staff who act as contributing writers.

III. From what I understand Urbanthang.com send lots of emails?

Periodically, Urbanthang.com distributes advertiser/event information that we think would be of interest to Urbanites. We only send emails Monday through Friday. If by chance, you would like not recieve email updates you can update your UT profile. Just [ Login ] and click on the "Edit my profile" link. You can disable the email updates and you will only receive the Houston [ Sociale Wire ] (which is published once a week!).

IV. How does the points system work?

On the website, we offer incentives in the form of Urban Points. These points can be used to receive free gifts such as DVD players, Gucci purses and even Flat Screen Televisions. Members earn points from just from visiting the website on a daily basis, answering the question of the day, attending events, publishing articles and even just by completing online surveys.
